About the CCAC

The Christchurch Community Arts Council (CCAC) is a voluntary incorporated body made up of elected members of the Christchurch arts community.

CCAC's prime objectives are to:

• Encourage and promote the practice, appreciation and enjoyment of all forms of artistic activity in Christchurch.
• Act as an advocate for community arts in Christchurch.
• Make grants and subsidies available for community arts projects.
• Undertake any other activities that it determines are for the benefit of community arts in Christchurch.

CCAC is represented on the assessment committee of the Creative Communities Funding Scheme and serves as an advocacy group for the arts at a community level in Christchurch. The CCAC publishes an Arts Participation Guide for Christchurch and operates a quarterly Community Arts Funding Scheme to provide small grants to arts projects in the region.
